Hello all. Here's my latest latex mask project. The Krypt Kreeper.

Its a quite large, thickly cast...big ole mask for a big ole head!

    Thanks for looking!

**The first photo is an early progress shot of the original clay sculpt, the next 2 are painted latex rubber masks, created from a mold of the finished sculpture.

Nice! I love the hollowed eyes, and porcelain-doll inspired rotted cracks and weathered staining!
    He's downright eerie!

That is wonderfully creepy! The details are amazing - it looks like old, weathered stonework.

Is that regular clay? It looks like you're building it over a form, I can't imagine that it is solid...

Do tell your basic construction process!

Very nice work CS, love the decaying, porcelain like detail. It is very creepy.
What I am going to need is your standard flame thrower...

    Thankyou everyone!

@ Frankies Girl ... Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear.. The first shot is of the clay sculpture, the next 2 shots are of a painted latex rubber mask made from the clay sculpture I later molded.
Yes, there is a generic plaster form visible under the painted mask , but it it merely serves as a support while I paint them.

Thanks! I'm a doofus sometimes. I figured you probably had formed it over something, but the clay looked so solid... beautiful job there!
