How to make fake corn stalks... you get 1/2 inch pvc and paint it brownish yellow corn color. Then you take a really cheap fabric in a brownish yellow corn color and cut out corn stalk leaves. Take wire (hangers, roll of wire... any kind of wire) and hot glue a strip of wire down the middle of the fabric so it will not be "floppy" shape it like a corn leaf. Drill a small hole in the pvc and insert the end of the wire (the corn leaf) and hot glue it in. TADA corn stalks..... no rotting, no molding. If you want corn on the stalk, take a couple crumpled up pieces of newspaper and tape it into a corn shape. Take some of the brownish yellow corn color fabric and roll it around the paper and tie the end closed and hot glue it to the "stalk" Hammer a piece of rebar in the ground and slide the pvc over it.

You might be a King or a little street sweeper... sooner or later your gonna dance with the reaper!
If I like your product, I MAY buy it... if I love your product, I will just make it myself... for cheaper and better than you did in the first place!

That's a great option!! I had some freebie corn stalks last year & I'm still finding bits & pieces of those things & I hate that. They do NOT compost quickly either. But the squirrels loved the corn!

Last year was the first year I did 'em & I'm not sure if I'd do so many again next year.

I am planting corn this year specifically for my new Pumpkinrot we just finished. This may be a great plan B if the corn doesn't thrive in the location it will be planted. Thanks for the post!!
What I am going to need is your standard flame thrower...

DANG thats really realistic. But it would probably be easier to buy real corn stalks. I bought them from my local pumpkin patch last year for 10/dollar$
