I want to add animation to my last year's Sam Prop.

I want to add head movement and a stabbing motion. I already found info for the head movement. I haven't decided if i want the arm to move at the shoulder or elbow. I found a post on here for shoulder movement. Simple Arm Animation But I haven't found anything i can use for elbow movement. Any suggestions?

    Cool Trick'r Treat prop!

For the elbow movement you can do something like this:

I was hoping to use a vent motor for the elbow movement, but i don't think there is room for the crank mechanism. At least not without having show on the outside of Sam's fooite pjs

Believe it or not, I made them myself. With zero sewing experience and my parent's thirty-year-old Kenmore.

I have been trying to find solid colored footed PJs, I now see I may have to make them.

thats a great Sam prop you made there if you dont make him animated maybe try putting a strobe light under him it will make people think that he is moving.

Try a reversible motor like most deer motors or disc ball motors and you won't need any linkage. When the motor reaches it's torque limit it stalls and goes in the other direction. Then when it reaches it's torque limit in that direction it stalls and goes in the other direction.
