$10 Prop Challenge
While browsing a couple of threads, I started to notice a great many people building props and decor with items purchased from Dollar Tree. Well, it gave me some inspiration for more prop designs. For such inspiration, I've been inspired to offer a prize-winning contest to the members of this forum!
The Contest:
Build a one-of-a-kind unique prop or decoration that consists of materials purchased from Dollar Tree, 99 scent shops or discount stores. You can shop anywhere, and can buy any store bought item (as long as its not halloween related) and only costs $1. Participants can spend up to $10 total, tax not included! All items purchased must be $1 each or less. There are no limits to the design, as long as you stick within the budget, the rules below, and use purchased materials for the majority of your entries!
The Prize:
$100+ value in Prizes! A $20 Party City gift card, a Halloween sound FX CD, a DVD of the movie Trick'r Treat , a bag of candy,
20% discount on any forum Group Buy, AND...a deluxe "Grave Grabber" frame kit from Spider Hill Prop Works (whoa!)
The Rules:
Forum Members can submit up to 2 entries. Any items used in designing the prop or decoration, must be currently available at a Dollar Tree store, 99cents store, or local discount shop retailer. As stated previously, Any singular item purchased to build a prop, must cost $1 or less. Participants can spend up to $10 total, tax not included! Paint and glue do not count toward the $10 budget. Previously bought items may be used, but ONLY if they are not already Halloween-themed. Halloween items can not be used in the design, unless designed by hand. Contestants must photograph their entries, name them, and email to: magicfan @ weirdness.com
Forum members will cast the deciding vote for the winner, once all designs have been posted!
The winner will be announced the following week!
Challenge ends May 1st.

Yes, you're free to use spray paint, other paints, and adhesives.
Everything else must be purchased from a local store, and only cost $1 each.
Natural supplies can be used, but sparingly. The idea, is to create a prop
using 90-100% Dollar items and on $10 budget. Any ideas, brewing?!

Can we submit something built last year? I made gutter crows using Dollar Tree crows.
But, I used scrap foam, too. Isn't that found in nature?

Sound cool, and since I did some cool props last year with dollarama stuff, and under 10$, I think I could manage something cool.
