Is anyone familiar with Crayola Model magic clay? Supposedly its spongy when dry but is it strong? I want to make a jar of eyeballs and I want to know if they will be alright on top of each other.

I haven't played around with the Model Magic, but if you want to use ping pong balls with shellac, they work pretty good!

Crayola Model Magic is an air dry "clay" (term used loosely). It isn't the best for modeling detailed stuff, but it's good for light weight props. Using this to make eyeballs, is a great idea! It can dry out rather quickly, but you can rework it and make it more malleable with a little water. When it is 100% dried, it will be a rigid foam. Make sure to seal them up with some varnish/clear acrylic.

Eyegore, I have noticed that the clay is drying firmer now and i keep the rest sealed tightly in a container which seams most effective. I have a 2 part epoxy which dries clear and will seal it at the same time. I have heard of using clear nail polish to seal it as well.
