Thread: Gemmy 2011 animated props

ugh! Everyone grab a pumpkin! Ready, Aim...jk. Gemmy is a manufacturer of animated lifesize figures you'd find in chain stores around Halloween. They used to be the one and only originator of inexpensive quality Halloween props and airblown inflatables, but other companies have emerged one-uping Gemmy as of late. The name doesn't mean as much as it used to!

what exactly do you guys mean when you say Gemmy... are you talking about a certain manufacture or a certain style of prop... I always see Gemmy... and have never truly understood what you guys are talknig about!

I have been waiting for that too! i ws waiting for someone to post something about the show and what they bought only i bleieve terra showed the masks she bought! I wil surely do so when i go to national haunt convention!

i saw alot of videos from the transworld haunt show side , but none of the halloween party show wich i think was at the same time on another floor ? would love to see a sneek preview of spirit props too ..... i also am looking foward to buy some of the props morris costumes had at the show like their corpse re-animated and honky the clown and mathilda the witch with cat i wonder with resellers will carry them

Gemmy doesn't exhibit at the Halloween shows. We'll be carrying all of the new animated props from Morris. I have a brief video of Honky the Clown on our facebook page.

I am considerably new here to the forum. Although I registered last year I made very little postings.
I love Halloween and alot of the items I like are pricey $300 +. So last year I went to work at Spirit. Not for the money, for the thrill of the kill....so to speak. I ended up getting around $2000.00 worth of merchandise for $500 it was awesome. I kind of want to do it again this year but working on the weekend was tough for me. I run a company and already work 60 hours a week. I do LOVE a great deal and HATE paying retail!!
Just an idea for you guys who love Halloween like I do.
I am looking forward to see if Ghost Face is the new Gemmy prop. I did see Cpt. Spaulding and def want him. For those in the know....KEEP US POSTED and thanks in advance for doing so.

always wanted to work at spirit i have two wait another year or 2 till im old enough but im sure like when you work night shifts at mcdonalds and take home all extra food, they treat you the same way at spirit i assume

Spirit does NOT allow employees to take home merchandise. The merchandise that breaks either goes to corporate or gets thrown in trash. I wish they gave stuff away. The benefit is the day after Halloween sale. You are first in the am and get your pick. That is the bonus I feel.
