I saw Fright Props has a Laser Web unit. There is no video to show it in action, does anyone have one? Any idea how it works? Anyone think it is something we can make?

I found a laser for a lot less. It doesn't do a web, but still has a great affect. I saw them at Transworld. They were about $75. I found one on Amazon for $30.

This thing lights up my whole garage.

You talkin' about this kind of effect? "Lumia effects" are really easy to do. Just use a piece of shower door glass, and a laser of decent power. You'll need to find a verrry slow motor to turn the piece of glass, though, to make it look good. Think on the order of 1RPM - clock motor.

Maybe a deer motor would work.

Hooked, Not exactly but that's pretty cool also. What I was refering to looks just like 3D spider webs throughout a portion of a room. I am assuming you still need to use fog, like with a laser vortex. Check out Fright Props website to see a static picture of it.

Went to the link you provided and at the end of the article he did another super-sweet looking effect. He drew the laser patterns on glow paint. So, after the laser left, the glowed plaint faded away the image. This would be great for a supernatural look:

Ah, found it. It's made by Chauvet and called Cirrus: http://www.chauvetlighting.com/cirru...ra-effect.html

Here's another video of the inside of the box to show how the effect is made:

    tbird7,
All the photos here are lumias. The effect can look a little different, depending on how bubbled the glass is.

    Terra,
That glow-in-the-dark screen video is an awesome find! I think that was a laser from a BluRay player. I wonder if it would be as responsive to red or green.

That effects wheel looks like the cracked ice ceiling tile cover at home depot:
