I went there last year, I believe around the end of August.. It was freakin awesome.. I think they were just getting ready to put more stuff out and prepare for the season. They had tons and tons of masks, props and everything for halloween... It is similar to the other Halloween stores like Halloween connection, Halloween express and Halloween spitit.. However, it is different.. Seems like there is more of a selection of unique items.. It is definitely worth a trip down there...Even if yo uare a couple of hours away. If you are really craving Halloween and just can't wait for it. Being in that store will definitely feed the need until the real thing comes around...
I live about a 35 minute drive from the store, and go there 2-3 times a year. The store specializes in mask, wig, and costume rentals, with a very impressive selection. They also have a solid selection of props, both mass-produced ones and some custom-made originals. Similar to Spirit Halloween stores, the store layout has several aisles of items for purchase and a few arrangements of props within scenes to help stimulate haunt ideas. I've purchased a few items from their eBay store (used to be called Fright Catalog) and then driven to the store to avoid shipping charges (of course, that was before gas prices skyrocketed).
If you're going to make a pilgrimage to this store, I recommend you also drive to Halloween Costume World in Fitchburg MA, about a 25 minute drive from Halloween Outlet. HCW has a truly astounding amount of stuff crammed into their floor space. Imagine the nearly floor-to-ceiling shelf arrangement of a Home Depot, but cut the width of the aisles in half. It's a firetrap, but the volume of products is staggering and really gives you sensory overload. Frankly, I think their selection is a bit broader and better than Halloween Outlet. The fact it's only 20 minutes from my house is just a bonus.
