I am almost done with my pirate skull. Hollow resin with some gold teeth. Needs an eye patch I think. Now to work on a body!

Lookin' great, scourge! I especially love the teeth. Gold foil?
I don't think he needs an eye patch. Perhaps too stereotypical.
But I am looking forward to seeing this skull on the body of a helmsman!

I second that! Love the teeth! If I may humbly suggest a bit more weathering on the hair and bandanna would balance out that old crusty look great. What has worked well for me in the past before is to bury hair and clothes in a *damp*paper grocery bag, slightly damp with some dirt in a hole about 4-6 inches deep. Leave it in there for about 2-4 weeks and when you bring it back out it will look about 30 years older. Like any good pirate remember to mark the spot so you don't lose your booty!

Cool! I like the embedded sand look in his nasal and eye cavities - nice job! I agree with Haunter. I don't think you need an eyepatch on him to convince folks he was a pirate. What you've already done with the gold teeth and bandanna, along with whatever you do for a body, should sell the priate idea.
