Heck I thought it would be an easy find but an hour and a half later of searching I came up with a little bit of info @ garage of evil, a youtube video, someone mentioning a hauntcast interview and that's about it!......I thought for sure he was in this forum talking about the progression of the build but I guess not....In particular, I was wondering what he used to control the hand movement...I think he called them sleds? but I'll be danged if I can find the info now....Anybody got any leads?.....Thanks.....ZR

I based my piano playing skeleton on computer printer sleds. You can find more info on it at

I did a search as well, I know he's a member here and I've seen him posting periodically, but I'm coming up with the same as you.
Doing a google search for Mark Goodson haunted organ brings up his blog and some other sites that might have more details, but there are also several members here that did haunted organs too:
Mr. Death's without a player:
Haunted Pipe Organ is Done Check It Out
MsMeeple's version:
Haunted Organ
EvilAndrew's version:
Evil Andrew's Haunted Organist and Garage Haunt
I know there are a few others that I'm missing, so check out Mark Goodson's info that is out there in the interwebz, but don't forget to check back here too! We have so many talented folks with different interpretations that it might be possible to cherry-pick things that will work best for your build.

daffy64, what did you use for the water effect in your coral reef display?
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I really like the looks of that!"You know you take the killing for granted. And then it's gone. And you're like, I wish I'd appreciated it more. Stopped and smelled the corpses." Spike

Years before I had digital photography capability, I did one utilizing a pepper's ghost for the 'player'.

Did you see the YouTube about the hand sleds already?
He used the Pololu servo amplifiers to transform DC motors, potentiometers, and syncro belts into linear-motion servos. Then, the command to these servo amps came from a Medusa DMX.
Although I've not purchased one of these servo amp boards, I'm on the design team for a company that makes the same kind of thing, on an industrial scale. So, I could probably be a resource, if you run into problems. I'll also send an email to Mark, to let him know you're lookin' for him.

I am a good friend of Mark, and its not as hard as you might think, but if you want to move forward be ready so spend around $300 for the "sleds". I can have Mark contact you on GOE if you like. He is always willing to help home haunters and helped daffy64 with his setup as well.

Whilst much of the hand sleds for this prop was marks idea, I helped him with the detail design, especially the servo system which as previously said was built using a pololu servo drive, a DC motor and a multi turn pot.
The critical part of the design to get right is the gearing of the sleds and the feedback potentiometer
