Ok guys, so this is something which has baffled me for quite a while now, so i thought i should just go ahead and ask. How do you correctly build a clay dividing wall? I don't understand how they work, surely the clay creates a gap between the two plaster pieces, so how come the latex doesn't just come out of this gap when it is poured in to the completed mould, what am i not understanding here? If the wall wasn't there then the plaster would stick together and you wouldn't be able to separate the mould, right?
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

Thank you so much, it was a detailed video like this that i needed!
so it's the release agent which stops the plaster from sticking together. I feel stupid now
Thanks again SO MUCH!

Even when you strap a 2 part mold together, You get a seam line across the mask where the 2 halves of the mold join. Ive seen videos of guys carefully removing the seam with a dremmel rotary tool to flush it out with the mask, then hiding those marks with paint. Never done it myself, but its part of finishing a full head mask.
**dont know if the video deoblo posted covered that...it wont play on my stupid computer.
