i stumbled on this today at first i tought that thing was actually real till i saw a youtube video and looked at more info ....and learned they wore little animatronics that an Canadian artist created to make a statement on human animal genetics in labs....anyway i think these would have been great halloween props

this is the web site that made alot of controversy because the thing is very well done and they also wore "exposed" in a toronto store window .

Is this real??? I mean, it looks like it is a real thing... Are there any vids of them out of the package?? This is pretty interesting.. It's almost like furby meets terminator technology. Except it is a a lot less menacing than the terminator..lol

*edit*...ha ha ha.. Never mind.. I was thinking that they could be real as far as like an electronic toy..but not the DNA part.. That I just couldn't believe.. It would cost a fortune for one.

here is a video of some of the creation of these things , i havent found alot of videos and none out of their package ...i havent read everything but i the artist wanted to show where the world was going i think in the genetic manipulation in labs done on animals and humans , ....and showing on their web site happy kids with their new muted geneticly made pets but at first when this came out it looked like the real thing from their web site ....if an halloween compagnie would have come up with a prop like this no one would have made a controversy i think about it

well, that's not the most creepy thing I've ever seen. It wouldn't be nearly as offensive/absurd if they weren't in vacuumed plastic. Judging by the set the store has...Im guessing the're about $80-110, if they are actually for sale.

What the heck are they supposed to be/do?! I get its a statement against gen labs.. but what would be the purpose behand the actual toy?
