    Hi,
I thought some might like to see a basic clay form for a mask. Somone asked me about using tools, and i thought this would be helpful. This is the point where I start to think about detailing, or using most of the tools. Up to here it has been a clay rake, a scoop, a loop, a sponge, and a brush.

I started this one yesteday, so no real details are there yet. Just form and expression. Im not 100% sure if this is the proper way to sculpt, just how I started doing it.

Hope you like it...feel free to critique the piece or method..or, make suggestions..its always welcome.

    ** EDIT** NEW PICS ADDED pg.4 ***

Show off! Ok, ok I'm jealous! Looks great! Don't stop at a mask...I'd be willing to buy a skull prop that looks like that!
My only criticism, and this should be taken with a grain of salt; the brow area, could be more defined to give it some emotion, but all in all...that looks epic!
    I'll take 5!

Thanks Eyegore...Nice observation, Great suggestion, I agree...Ill push the brow a bit more.

My intent is to motivate others, spark positive discussion, get feed back, .....(and" show of" a lil bit)....LOL, nah, Its totally fun to show your work. Its gets lonely in a studio after a while, lol, and you start to wonder what the heck your doing this stuff for anyway!..strangely, you kinda have to show off to be an artist...hang it all out there in a way.

Joe, just get a hunk a clay and have at it.!
    lo rod, thanks!

Wow! Talk about talented! It looks like an exact replica of Chop Shop's sculpt. And you even managed to find an identical skull prop, and paintbrush too. Dag!

haha, yeah it looks a little more menacing! Thumbs up!
I would slightly indent, or build up the brow bone a bit too. not as extreme as this (see pic) but something to the like.
