    Hi Folks,

Okay, I give...how did this guy make these ghosts (in at 3 through 4 minutes) scoot around like this!! Is he a Forum member?

    Thanks in advance!

The ghost look like they are part of an Axworthy set up to me.. There are threads in the tut. section on how to make them.

Pretty sure a magnet or magnets are involved. Like the ghost chess board or checker board. Only in this case the ghost is on one side of a pane of glass. Could be another pane with fabric or something to block the ability to see the person on the other side that is moving the control magnet. You can get very strong magnets today. I have one that I magnetize my screwdrivers with that you can not pull off a plate of metal by hand. I don't think this is purely mechanical because of the totally random movement. The first section has me a bit puzzled though. It looks like it is back lit. If it really is, then we should see some movement. I will watch it a bit more closely.

    Merlyn,

Pretty sure it is too random for an axworthy. Plus axworthy's need to be horizontal.

It might be similar to axworthy...but even more similar to a giant "Etch-a-Sketch" plotter... but controlled by computer.
It has similar movements and doesn't appear to move in any circular motion indicative of linear plotters. Eh, it's possible.
    Only a theory...

I think in the first window there is some lighting coming from below or above. I see some shadows when the ghost gets near the top. Pretty sure a black light is involved as well. That would explain the various level of glow the ghost gives off. So if the lighting is not from the back, then the back pane could be totally opaque, which would hide any movement. The second window appears to only have black light so seeing the movement is less a concern. It is a very clever effect though.

    Eyegore,

It could be a plotter. Pretty expensive though. My guess is that it is human driven.

    Merlyn,

Maybe I misunderstood. Are you referring to the multiple ghosts flying? That is an axworthy.
