hi.....new here........i need a trigger a prop after 40 seconds of a mp3 playing the hangman song from styx........? help

Hello & welcome sound like you need a lowest possible cost simple solution.
pending if your a little pc savy or not & need to buy something that will do this for you...but cost ya a lil for it.

i would suggest something along the lines of a DTMF ( concept created by member Hi-rez )
....... you would need to buy this http://www.pimpmyprop.com/DTMFControllerDetails.htm, burn a cd with the song on a left channel & whatever seconds / min later you need to activate prop,
you have a DTMF tone inserted on a right channel, this board will pick up the DTMF signal & activate prop, DTFM signal off - prop off !
