    Ok,
Not sure what to call this effect but title seems to describe it correctly.
TOT's are lead into a door, once in the room entrance door is closed. They must then choose from several doors the correct exit door.

Has anyone tried this in a house/garage haunt??
    How did it turn out?

    I had a few ideas.
    • Entrance door is also exit door with a rotating wall, once they enter the wall rotates to throw them off when they exit where they came in
    • One door has an actor...of course.
    • another door when they pull on it has a micro switch turning OFF all the lights and loud sound effect, horn, scream, siren, something
This is where the creative juices stopped. I was thinking, entrance included, 4 doors , 5 doors max.
Any thoughts of scares behind other doors, one can be just bolted shut that is fine or just spring loaded to open partially and close fast when they release it.

Depending on how involved you want to get you could set one up with some sort of stretchy material inside the door frame, so when they open it it will trip a switch that could activate a pnuematic ram or linear actuator to push a mask or something so it looks like the shadow is coming out at them, kinda like the asylum door prop. Just my thoughts, have fun

good start or have a door with a window or screening and when they go to open it have a prop jump straight up in front of the window of the door. I like that, I have tons of pneumatic props.

Maybe a really nasty spider room, like a cave thats dripping with nasty ooze and maybe bodies hanging in bags. When they open the door a pneumatic spider jumps at them.

Everybody is creeped out by spiders, especially big ones jumping at you.

Also, maybe they have to go through one or two of these doors. If they have to walk into the enviornments, just the simple task of opening the doors on their exit will become extremely nerve racking for them. Especially if you have that actor chasing them......

Great idea though, kind of like a funhouse but scarier lol

Sounds fun and scary! Just hope nobody has a phobia like one little TOT I had back in 2006. He was sooooo freakin spooked from not being able to find his way out of my back yard's maze!

He ripped right thru 3 of my painted tarps(blue type) and a black plastic divider! The parents were so mean too as they couldn't stop laughing at him... Poor kid, I felt bad and let him grab a handful of candy to cheer him up!

Was kinda funny now that I look back! lol!
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

I went to a wax museum once whose 'chamber of horrors' had something like this. Only one door lead into the chamber, the others had tricks to them.

One door {a dead end naturally} was made to fit a little bit tight at the top corner so to open it you had to really pull. At the top of the door frame was a row of eye screws, put in eye down. A matching set of eye screws was put into the door. Fishing line was tied to the door eye and run through the frame eye, then down to rubber bats so when the door was jerked open, the bats would be pulled up swiftly. Their weight would pull them back down when the door was closed.

Another idea they used was a corridor that ran from one door to another.

If the wall had, for example, eight doors like so
    1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

Doors 1, 3,4, 5, and 8 are 'dead end' doors. Door 2 is a hallway which leads you on a zig-zag path to come out of door number six. Door 7 is the 'true' door.

I don't know your space limitations, so I'm aiming high. lol.

    Good luck!

Another one I saw in a local haunt was just to have several doors that looked like they could open. Only one door did! The others were locked.

So let them get into the room, then have spiders or other stuff drop down and they have to get out..fast! Which door? Which door?!
