So I am having trouble in the off seasons finding foam skulls. The cheapy ones that cost like a dollar to 4 in the stores during halloween. I was going to use one for a ghost that I am revamping because the original skull was hard plastic and I am finding it hard to deal with now since I took it apart.
I looked on ebay and the few that they have are $10-$20 which I was hoping not to pay.
Does anyone know where to find foam skulls in the off season for a cheap price?

Spirit didnt have anything that was a foam skull for cheap. Just hard plastic which is really hard to get through with a coat hanger.
If there are any others with foam skulls that would be great, but for some reason I just can't find any. I know seasonal .99 cent store had some but they arent on the main site nor at the stores anymore because its a different holiday.

Lifesize foam skulls haven't been 99 cents in a very long time...or ever!
Most retail for about $6. If you want cheap...you'll have to either buy a large quantity or make them yourself.
Can you buy a plastic skull, and make foam copies?

Lifesized, that would be a problem.
If you can wait until places like Michaels start stocking Halloween (usually July/August) they have had some pretty decent foam skulls that are close to life-sized for around $5-6. The dollar stores will also be carrying really funny looking blucky skulls for a buck, but they need serious TLC to get them looking good.
If you have to have them now, there are these:

That are $8 for three, but they are about 4.5 inches tall.

Not sure how large the actual skull is, but the price is good. BUT it's covered in #@!$$ glitter.

Another one (skeleton version) that you could rip apart. Don't think this is very big tho.

Bit bigger at 6 inches, and the price isn't too bad at $5, but it's missing the lower jaw.

Larger, good price, but it's covered in glitter again and the details are not great.
I've never tried to de-glitter anything, but I would think running it gently under water and using a really soft brush to loosen the stuff might work.

i picked up an oversized skull that was covered in pink glitter. i thought, hell a wire brush will take this stuff off. no way. that glitter is glued on harder than a barnacle.
i dont bother with the glitter stuff anymore.

If all else fails & you need it sooner rather than later, you could make a paper mache copy of one & fill that with expanding foam. Just fill it in stages so it doesn't break the mache. But even if it did, you could easily fix it since it's just paper.
