Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make a prop jiggle and or shake? The motion I am trying to duplicate is the shaking used on props like Spazm, Chuckles the Clown, and Rotted Randy.

think of that old ceiling fan that was outta balance and shook like crazy.
    motor+off balance= shaking like crazy.

so ya need a motor, armature of some form and a weight. thats it.
the closer you put the weight to the motors shaft, the faster, less violent the shaking will be. the exact opposite holds true as you get further away. (slower/more violent)
fasten the motor tight to your prob, and ya should be golden.

Spirit has a machine called the "Hedge Monster". It is sound activated, the eyes light up and it shakes the bush you hide it in.

In the dental industry there is a device called an amalgamator and it is used to shake small capsules to mix the ingredients. It can't take much weight but you might consider trying to find one of these on ebay to modify if the prop you want to create is very light.
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

Bumble ball shakes and I have seen a great moving dirt prop made out of it.
I also have a prop I got several years back that shakes.I don't use the prop anymore but need to tear into it see how it works.I wraped that one up as a spider victim.Worked well he shook when anyone came close.I got it from target it was short maybe 24 inches but by the time I wrapped him up he was over 5 ft.
