Hey I was just wondering if there was any other way to make a 3d wall without using chroma depth.

    Thanks,

Are you talking about a 3D wall panel that has depth when viewed with 3D glasses other than ChromaDepth 3D glasses? Or a wall panel that is carved or otherwise manipulated to create an optical illusion without the use of 3D glasses?

The short answer is no, not cheaply.
Anaglyph glasses (your traditional red and cyan lens glasses), anachrome glasses, and the newer polarized 3D glasses all rely on the use of two projected superimposed images to create a 3D effect. You would need a 3D television or projector, or a large static printout of a 3D image, to get a 3D effect.

ChromaDepth works differently. The lens is like a prism, and when viewed through these glasses, different colors are perceived at different depths, with longer wavelength colors (red and orange) appearing closer to the viewer and shorter wavelength colors (blue and purple) appearing farther away.
ChromaDepth walls are easier and cheaper to create because you do not need two superimposed images, just a set of different colored fluorescent paints.
Take a look at Terra's album or her videos for more info on ChromaDepth wall panels.

I began with a white painted wall. I took a small paint brush. I opened a small can of black paint, using the small brush, I carefully painted three "D"s on the wall=done!
I know, it's So Quick and Easy you are wondering why you never thought of this?
