I just upgraded my monitor over Christmas and now have a spare 19" square (or 4:3) LCD monitor. Looking for ideas of what to do with it in a haunt.
First off, I love the Asylum Door Prop that's got a great 68 page thread (as of now). I may tackle that one day, but realistically not this year.
Anybody have any OTHER great ideas for an LCD?
I typically do a graveyard in my front yard... thinking about a good way to build it into a tombstone. But how & what to show?
Throw some ideas at me... tombstone or not!![]()

personally jigsaw trap... how cool would it be to lure your haunters in a dark room and then the tv pops on and maybe like a red beacon light or something and th a pre recorded tape of jigsaw explains what they have to do and you could have sceams maybe even show a fake tape as if someone is i a trap and all the people are watching that person?
just an idea

I still think the Magic Mirror prop is perfect for the younger TOTers. I'd go that way.

It's all flash-based, so I can't post a direct link. But go to the videos page of this site, and check out the 'chalkboard' for an idea.

PS: for those within driving distance, this haunt is absolutely worth both the drive and wait.Use DMX to Animate Servos, Dim LEDs, and Control Relays using just one board

I was actually going to make a prop with a spare LCD screen TV that was going to play a video from the ring. Then next you will hear an audio of a telephone ringing (I was actually going to make it interactive where the tots could pick up the telephone) then another audio will come on saying you have 3 seconds for a trick (instead of 7 days to live from the movie) and as the tots turn around a Sarah Morgan prop was going to pop out of a well. I did not proceed with it because of storage space.

With the asylum door & the other vids you need a 24-26" screen or the people will not be of proper size-look.
You can use it for a pepper's ghost effect, floating or burning skull in your graveyard ( i used a burning skull vid i have in my graveyard last year, looked cool )

I have an extra 42" LCD which I hope maybe next year to built a crypt that contains a peppers ghost effect inside that trick or treaters can walk by and look inside. That is what I would try to do with it.

You can do something as easy as scream tv too. Id probably do soemthings easy like put a picture frame around it and make a creepy moving picture.

Trying to think of how to build it into a grave stone and have it show through. Maybe a scary face or talking skull video.
Would you cover the stone with a see through cloth or something? What could I use?

you could mount it behind eye holes on a tombstone, and loop a video of moving eyes on it to make your own Leota tombstone.
