hello guys im making an online halloween store that should be coming up within the year..
    question to the consumers:

a corpsed 5 ft 6 in bucky: would you pay 135 plus shipping chargs to whever in the united states i wouldntknow the rates yet but 135 plus shipping does thats sound fair..

thats the lowest ive seen on ebnay its 149 plus shpping and stores regular buckys arabout that price?

*** let me know if its not fair what you think is the right price but make sure you put profit and time and material into consideration!

    Thanks,

Let me say this to you as a young ,upstarting, entrepreneur...

Good quality corpsing takes a lot of time and effort. It seems like 135 leaves very little profit in your pocket after all is said and done. After your cost, it appears you may not value your time enough. Even if you landed buckys at your door for 60 bucks, you should price your time more wisely, If you dont, it kinda hurts the market. It tends to leave consumers believing other artists and craftsmen overcharge. Ultimately, as a business you can do whatever you want, but just consider how you position yourself among your fellow retailers. Also, Its always harder to bring prices up later on, than say maybe, set more competitive pricing along with the other retailers, then, run a "sale" or a "limited time offer".

Yeah, at $135.00 thats actually a great price....but for who?

Good for you for having some ambition by the way!.. Too many young people sitting around with the video games these days..

I agree with Chop. $135 may be a great price, but leaves you little room for profit. Think about your time and labor you are putting into this.

As a buyer, I will pay more for a high quality prop then pay less for a poorly made one.

Good luck ctarpey, I am glad to see someone with your ambition!

A corpsed bucky for aprox 140 (not including shipping fees) is a good starting point, and is a fair price, but is it fair to you?
If a regular 4th quality bucky average price is about $110; The questions you have to ask yourself are:

    1) Do I think $XX( or whatever price) is a fair value for my time and quality?
    2) What profit will I make total?
    3) What's the max price I think I could sell these for?
    4) Competition's price?

    Hope that info helps!
    Best of luck man!

I would also factor in what materials you are corpsing with, how long they take to dry etc… mailing a sticky, stinky product could get unfavorable reviews. Also, will you be able to make demand if you get pummeled with orders and most important, will your supplier have enough for you during the busy season? Even the largest companies run low, we have all seen it happen. Not trying to discourage you, just suggesting the fun things that need attention.

I agree that it is a low price for a corpsed bucky but you can still extend that low price/discount to the great HF family here if ya want!

Shipping would kill me though because I am on the west coast...
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

I would like to weigh in here. But I see no use. I would say all the things you need to know are covered. Bucky's are great, but I'm gunna try to stick with my blucky's :P
