So, I want to do a three-axis skull, and in my reading everyone suggests a lindberg, not a bucky (like I bought already!). Is the skull that people are using like this one? Is the Pirate skull different from a standard one? Where are people getting it for the best price? Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes that is the one. The "pirate" skull that they advertise is just advert to help sell it, jumping on the pirate thing.... there is no difference, there is only one 1/1 lindberg skull. Most have been using it as they don't need the HD servos to help save money as well as moving & balancing a heavier skull.
As for price, anything below $25 + shipping, that one on EBay seemed pretty good price with shipping ! You might be able to get in down to $15 +sh... ( $10-$12 - if you get lucky) or find a local model / hobby shop near you that carries them. Shop around for sales now....When you look in the mirror at midnight,....what looks back at you.........

Thanks for the info, Dark Lord. Samurai, look for me in the props-section. I'll be posting occasional updates there!

I believe the teeth on the Pirate aren't as straight as the ones on the regular skull, but they don't impede the mouth closing, so there shouldn't be an issue using the pirate skull instead of the regular one.
