I'm wrapping up my second witch that uses a pvc mechanism to allow the head to rotate and tilt. I followed propmaster's how to -http://halloweenpropmaster.com/u-built_it.htm
Since this prop uses such a large mask, I built the bottom portion out of plywood and 2x4's which gave a very stable platform.
All she needs now is her robe but for some reason my wife isn't anxious to get back in Halloween mode and make it yet!

That looks great! I like the double action of the head.
Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Yes they are deer motors. I'd run out and our regular supplier was out of stock until October. Someone on the forums found Kindy's who had them for the same price - http://www.kindys.com/products/decor...0-animated-doe
They carry both this model and the one with the external attachment points. I'd never used them before but the transaction went well.

Mine did have the crank arms which is why I got that model instead of the other one.
Can you just use a piece of aluminum stock, add some washers and then thread a screw into the shaft? That's how I add the shafts to the vent motors.
