i went to an auction last night and made out like a bandit.

i came home with a lot of neet stuff, 8 double parking meters -full of change, a cool old cast iron stand to name a couple.

and then i laid eyes on the creepiest prop ever!
i had to buy 3 boxes of garbage to get it ($15 for everything)

this is just a small portion of the junk, alot went straight to the dumpster.
now i shouldn't complain. its full of antique xmas decorations (the lights are so old the tiny noma xmas bulbs actually screw in) they have there own transformer (like an old train sel transformer)
theres old bamboo canes, old milk and pee jugs, fire extinguisers etc (all really old)
i'm sure i can make my money 100x over selling items on kijiji. (online)
so back to the scarest prop ever and the reason i bought all this junk.

    ta daaa!
    it's george.

i'm not sure whats creepier. the doll or the fact that somebody once thought this was a good idea. i mean i love it, but i'm freak'n wierd. lol

heres some of the other stuff i'll probably use for props.
lots of fimo, canes and a really cool old flickering light bulb.

the other doll in the lot is creepy in its own right. even creepier, the $185 price tag saftey pinned to the doll. (again, i only paid $15 for all of it)

alright, i'm out. i think george just moved!

old dolls are so creepy anyway - I'd be scared to have those in my house !!!!!

My ex-mother-in-law told me (when I was still married to her son) that when she "went", her huge collection of dolls was going to my daughter. I hope that woman never dies!!!!

btw - I think I saw a Saturday Night Live skit where one of the characters had hands like George......funny as all get out!

I agree - that is a great deal you got on all of that! I absolutely hate dolls, especially creepy old dolls like that. My mom has a porcelain doll that's about 18 inches tall, but it has NO EYES - just empty sockets. It grosses me out every time I see it. I call it Satan's Child. Those dolls will be creepy without doing a thing to them. Great haul!

    Hallow icyuod2!
Just found this thread! Wow! This was a great day for scoring a bundle of great stuff - and those dolls are really worth something. Creepy as they may be - you may wish to contact some of the museums that showcase antique dolls and see if you can get more money for them so you can buy even MORE stuff for prop building. The dolls that are the old plaster and china with mechanical eyes are very valuable - or so my neighbor told me. She works at the Heritage Village here in Sharonville. These dolls are prized for their historical significance. Maybe check into it B 4 you lose a chance to make your millions!

Otherwise - if they turn out to be so so in value - you have the makings of even more inspirational prop tutorials as far as I am concerned! SO don't be a baby - be a doll and show us how this all turns out! Waaaaa Waaaa - BOO!
