Has anyone seen anything yet from Itsjustme on how they constructed that really cool water effect for their swamp haunt, or does anyone else know how it was done? I really want to utilize the effect for my 2011 haunt, so I would appreciated any instructional help anyone could give me.

If this is the post you are talking about,
Post your 2010 haunt pictures here!

    That looks like actual water.
It appears to be black pond lining plastic with a raised lip around the edge, possibly sand bags or railroad ties.

IIRC that's what it was. I think I remember them having made it -very- shallow, since it'd take less water to do and if someone fell off of the walkway it wouldn't be quite so catastrophic.

That was some time ago, though, so I might be remembering wrong. Take pictures if you attempt it!

Bluefrog did his pond frame out of flexible pipe.
I am doing the effect for my pirate haunt this year and will probaly build boxes and line with black plastic or maybe even a blue tarp.I don't want a lot of water just enough so it looks like water at night.
Hubby freaked when I told him but I explained that I didn't want alot of water. Then he worried about killing the grass...come on it's october it's time for it to die.

This would be a cool thing to have, though I can hear the parents screaming now with the odd TOT falling in. LOL

FYI pond liners this size are EXPENSIVEEEEEEE.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.
