I used one as stated earlier in the thread for my crows nest pirate. The pirate itself was a styrofaom ground breaker so he didn't weight alot. But mine worked flawless from 10-1 till 11-1.I ran him everynight except for maybe 4 when we wern't home.I got mine cheaper from graveyardmall.com.I ordered a second one don't know what I am going to use it for.

Anyone recall where instructions were for building a large waterfall ?
I recall the basic idea was taking a length of pvc and running a pump with hose to it. You cap off the end of the pipe and ( here's where I get fuzzy ) drill holes or make a slit along it's length ? I'm thinking of adding a 6' waterfall but I can't recall how we had once discussed doing it.

Yeah it's shouldn't be too hard. You can go simple, 2x2 screwed into a plywood base ( weighted ) or go more complex, get a metal plate for the base and weld some re-bar into it and thread up the legs and spine. What works will also depend on your skeleton of choice, Buckys are heavy so require more to hold them up and balance. My helmsman was just a PVC frame with bucky skull , hands and feet so the PVC his frame was made of didn't require much more. Give us some pics of your project and we can probably help more.

After reading all of your posts, and looking at all of your amazing props, I find myself wondering if our pics of our Pirates Cove from last year's Haunt are worthy to post in amongst all of your talented works, but here goes. We try to make use of everything we can to make our props at little or no cost. Our first try turned out alright, but we have alot of little details we will add this year (and subsequent years) as well, to build on our inital display. Pirate Cove is just one small area in our Yard Haunt which has several rooms and themes. Sorry, the pics are not great...

Itsinmyblood, I totally get where you're coming from. A LOT of talent on here but don't sell yourself short, I thought your stuff was great. I have that groundbreaker too, he slowly climbs up and down in a barrel. I have no idea if I've posted these pics from last year but here goes.
Masquerading as a normal person is getting exhausting
