Hello all,
I came across this site about 2 years or so ago. I stumbled upon it again today and thought that some would like it. I have always thought that this guy had some of the best corpse work on the net...The pictures are well lit and still, the realism is just unbelieveable. I do not know anything personally about the site, as I have never ordered anything from them. If anyone has, please post some pics..It is Di Stephano productions presents corpses for sale

Good reviews for the book....I usually use clay, newspaper and/or snot rag mache for my creations. I will say that the snot rag mache provides one of the best mediums for making decaying and old looking skin.. Elmers glue and water with kleenex. It is very messy, but incredibly realistic looking.

What is the best way to water proof a snot rag mache corpse for using as a ground breaker prop in an outdoor front yard cemetery?

Hello HeadStone13...Well, The things I make are for indoor use.. However, if you wanted to use something that would make it stand up to moisture. I woud imagine you could coat it with a polyurethane liquid of some kind...You could just brush it on. I have never done it, but I assume that as long as there was not a flood,,,lol,,it would work.. Also, I would imagine that using too much polyurethane may fill in the creases too much and sort of ruin the illusion of old, wrinkled flesh. I guess it would be trial and error..
Also, maybe some kind of varnish would work. I do not know how it would affect the mache though. Might be best to try a small area first. I do not know if varnish would be strong enough protection for outdoor use
If you do this.. Let me know how it turns out. Also, if you another option, please let me know.

Hey, I just thought of this..... What about corn flakes and/or oatmeal..lol.... I know that people use these for face make up.. They add latex or gum and put the flakes and then paint so parts of thir face looks decayed.. Maybe sprinkle some oatmeal over elmers glue on parts of the corpse for a decayed peeling effect...This is just me thinking, well, typing out loud,,,
