LTD has lightning effects boxes on sale right now for $9.95 each, (47% off). They are the ones with the Christmas tree on them, but they work just the same as the Halloween ones.

Hey Ratmonkey, you're welcome! I know people are always scrambling looking for these right before Halloween and I just got notification today that LTD has them. Glad you were able to pick up a couple!

I was scrambling! Cost 25 bucks total to get it the week before HW. Now look at the thing! It works great and that's a great price, but I have no reason to get another one now. Thanks for the HU though!

Man I was on both sites (LTD and ABCDistributing) the other day and they weren't listed then. Finally!!! I have been checking pretty religiously for weeks now. Thanks for the heads up. I wonder if Deal of the Week might be to clear them out completely. BTW ABC Distrib has them on their site too (kind of figured). Thanks for the heads up. I had 4 and just ordered 4 more. These little boxes are kick a**. for 10 bucks! Not only do they rock for lightning effect they also work great for an voice track on a static prop making the eyes flicker with the audio. I was just thinking (don't tell my wife). Example: A prop that has a man yelling track that when he yells you could have the sensitivity set so he would shake (drill, jigsaw, etc). Hmmmm, I am heading to the shop!!!

I was going to order a few more and as Frankenfrog mentioned, both sites (LTD and ABC) sold out already. I had a feeling if they were Deal of the Week Items that they had limited quantities but had hoped they would have lasted at least until the weekend. Dang! Wonder if they will get more in later in the season....


HEADS UP: I went back to the ABC site and saw that my shopping cart still had the Xmas Tree Boxes in the cart, so decided to see whether maybe ABC Distrib holds back units for those who have already put them in their cart but hadn't completed their orders. I made sure they were the only items ordered, and all I can say right now is that the order seems to have gone through. If so, I got lucky. I'll let you guys know if the order gets filled or whether it gets cancelled. Just figured if anyone else had added the boxes to their cart without completing their order, there's still a chance you might be able to get them... Keeping figures crossed.

BTW if ABC Distrib did block out units for people who had put the item in their carts, there's also the chance that some of those people won't buy the box and some units would then become available. Worth checking back for.
