I ve got a hand sized head Ive sculpted here and im not exactly what to do with it now..

I could dry it, paint it and make something one of a kind.

    Or,
I could make a mold, cast little latex copies and foam fill those to make...???

not sure what though! All I can think of is maybe a hanging "flier" type prop....maybe make some puppets?

I thought Id throw it out there for some of your thoughts...thanks!

Shrunken heads? Maybe finials for a creepy fence? Put it in a box and send it to me? It looks awesome no matter what you do with it - amazing work! Wish I had half your talent!

Maybe make a small armature body for it and come up with an evil little gnome figure to place somewhere. Some half inch pvc would work.

I am curious what type of clay you used to create that and what tools.

I could see this as a few different things...

You could do a collection of shrunken heads and then attach them to ropes, tie them together and you have a hanging prop, or you could do something like that and hang them on a cane/staff for a bigger prop of some creature.

I could also see it as a small figure. If you made several heads then cast them into molds you could use the production figured heads for a small army of gremlin type figures or the woodland/native tribe type creatures placed around your yard and in trees so they loom over everything.

A gnome would be quite funny and creepy at the same time.

Nice sculpt! Maybe some twisted Gnome or Goblin squatting under a bush?

Hey chop, that sculpting rocks. Here's what you do....make about 3 more of those, all with slightly different faces, out of clay. then create negative molds for each, and mass-produce these little guys. I see visions of little stacks of these faces everywhere...like little bone piles...you could create an entire scene out of these.

Haha, awesome ideas everyone..thanks so much! Thanks for the compliments too.

It does look like an evil little gnome, maybe a little Bad-xmas elf.
Shrunken heads are a very interesting thought too.
I do like the thought of several different faces and Ive always been interested in production runs.
If I were to do a body, I'd better have some cool hands to go along right?
    Lotsa thoughts now !!

Imindless- its just yer basic inexpensive air-dry clay, Michaels Arts and crafts carries it.
I used a little clay scraper/loop, and a basic clay tool with a point on one end, and a little scooper on the other end. I smooth with a little brush dipped in water.

Yes a small band of these over coming a Halloween Tot would be a creepy haunt scene!
    Nice work on the sculpt!

Thanks for the info, I've always wanted to dabble in sculpting, a lot of people in my family have created art or currently do so it runs in my blood I suppose.

There are so many different things you can do with those heads especially if you mass-produce them. I can't wait to see what you end up doing.
