I'm dusting off a few props that I made back in 2007 using screen door cylinders. It wasn't until I played with a real cylinder/solenoid in the last two weeks that realized what I was missing as far as versatility goes.

So to make a long story short, I'm revising two props that use screen door closers:

    1) Is a scissor prop built from these instructions: http://www.halloweenpropmaster.com/sissor_prop.htm

    2) Is a coffin popup.

I'd like to replace the double screen door cylinders on the scissor prop (w/ a single) and the single cylinder on the coffin popup. What cylinder size would you recommend?

    Nice Vid Zeenon!

I believe a 7/8" bore and a 7"-8" throw would do the job rather nicely. If you are using two closers and wish to replace with a single cylinder, a 1-1/4" bore will do the trick. You may have to turn down your PSI just slightly....but probably not.

    "You know I haven't!"
