Hi, I need to put realistic blood on my props. Does anybody know the best realistic blood out there for props. Some say corn syrup and food coloring if so will it attract ants or will it be sticky. Thanks.

We bought fake blood paint from Palenight productions its awesome! Dries hard but flexible and it stays shiny. Really like this stuff! Kinda pricey but if you use it sparingly it will go pretty far!

If I build it, will they come ?

I use cheap crimson artist acrylic mixed with latex. The only real expense is I also add a little fine art gloss medium but a little goes a long way. This was a last minute single coat, and will be adding more for a darker red and more gloss.

What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

As Lynn and Yubney said, if you plan on painting props (not fake blood on yourself), then you should go with paint. If you use what you said, I am sure it would not look that great or it might wash away. Better to use paint and seal.

What about just coloring some gloss polyurethane? Color and sealer all in one.
I haven't tried it, it was just a thought.
