I would like to propose a "library" where professional/theatrical prop websites could be listed. Obviously this wouldn't contain "build instructions" like many of the instructional posts in the forum, but rather have it serve as a quality collection for fellow HF members to find inspiration and detailed pictures.

I'd like to start with Stelter Creative, which first caught my attention for their outstanding mad scientist props, such as these beauties:
Stelter Creative also creates foam sculptures, such as this castle ruins backdrop:
This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as their creations go. They also custom create costumes, suits of armor, and animated props. Very cool-looking outfit.Last edited by MacEricG; 11-15-2010 at 11:33 AM. Reason: frankenstein, laboratory, scientist, doctor

You can download a couple PDF files that show you how to make sets and props out of cardboard

Here's another great site — AranaMuerta.
This is not necessarily a pro service by trade, but the quality of Angie's work is awe inspiring. She crafts full size props that rival the attractions from Disney. (Really!) It appears she makes EVERYTHING by hand — no store bought props! (Is she a member here on HF?)
She also has a superb eye for ambiance. I especially love the work she's created for a Witch's Kitchen. The big perk about Angie's site is that she shares her DIY info, too.

I personally know Angie of aranmuerta , Each year a group of us meet in British Columbia and create a haunt in a campground for Halloween in August , I have seen her props close up, they are truly cool and homemade, I dont believe she is a member on this site but the haunt forum one, she goes by Deadspider, she is truly afraid of spiders, but does wonderful displays with fake ones, she and I held a seminar on how to make spider victims one year for the gathering.

That mad scientist set-up is amazing! We made a very small Jacob's Ladder? this year and are looking to possibly do a Frankenstein scene... that is great inspiration for it!
