Thread: True Value Hardware LED Candles

Just a heads up for those of you that like LED candles, especially ones that have the automatic on/off feature. True Value Hardware has a 4 pack of LED candles for only $4.99, and they are the kind with the timer feature! That's pretty dang cheap since most with a timer are usually $5.00 a piece. I picked up a box of them today and they they're pretty good. They have the little gold colored base part, but they come out so you can put them into your candelabras or what not.

And this is what I do to them with a little hot glue and paint, and getting rid of the hokey flame top:

Nice conversion but what did you replace the hokey flames with?

I just take off the plastic "flame" and trash it. The LED bulb is still there, pushed down a bit. Makes it look like the flame is down below the edge of the candle. Still puts off a nice glow in the dark and looks quite a bit more real than that big plastic... thing that was on top of them before.
