I had some steel laying around and decided to build a coffin jumper prototype mechanism. It's about 90% done. I think I am going to start to build these, pop up mechanisms and scissor mechanisms and sell. Any opinions on this one? What could be improved? I also have a buddy that works for a pneumatic distributor so I can get a good deal on cylinders, valves, fittings, ect.

Looks heavy duty! Selling them sounds very enterprising. In this economy I support anyone who tries to do something like that.

It is well built and will be able to handle anything. It is 10 lbs without the cylinder and valve.
If I sell one here or there that is fine. That is all I want to do. I may make a few and put them on ebay or something like that. But as for making a living do it, that is not in the plans.

It's been a while since I updated on this project. It seems like life get's in the way sometimes. Anyways, I changed up the design a little. It is done and tested it out tonight. I had it about 35 PSI and that thing jumped like no buddies business. :-)
