Do a Pumpkin crawling out of a pile a leaves, or coming out of a pile of rotten pumpkins. Paper mache up some fake rotten ones, then build it like you would a groundbreaker.

chop shop - I like that idea. I have never had experience with paper mache before (yes not even in elementary school0. So what would be a good way of doing it. I have taken a look at Stolloween's website and plan to do it like that. What is the best paper mache paste and paper mache clay recipe do you use?

love that mask and here's my idea for a static prop
if you have a cementary, here's your caretaker. something slightly hunchbacked, standing just out side the gates in shadow, leaning on a shovel. use a motion activated spot on his face when tots get close enough, to startle them. they will always wonder if it was static or an actor - HM
