found this martha stewart paint finish tool kit, thought that the wood finish tool would work out for those wanting to create the grain look for boards that cover the windows or just for a wood look..im not sure the cost of it though

Leave it to Martha to remarket something that has been selling for years.
I had one of thesse tools more than 10 years ago. I used it to add a wood grain to the interior side of a steel entry door. Once I got the hang of it, it worked great. The big thing is that you have to have a smooth movement from start of your stroke to the end for it to come out right. I had to remove the door from the frame to do this. Even bending would produce a grain look that I was not happy with. That was the first time I ever used ZAR brand stain. I now use nothing but ZAR on my other woodworking projects.
You can check your local hardware store for this tool as well. Practice on a scrap piece before using on your project.

it was either going to be a tool or a pattern you tape up and paint over, lol. So I will try this tool first. Thanks for the heads up!

Great idea using the wood graining tool for Halloween props. Saw this used years ago on the home decorating shows. Great idea and thanks for sharing this. Here's a video showing how this is used...simple!:
