I just purchased a 1000 W Fog Machine on clearance - it is manufactured by SEASONAL VISIONS INTERNATIONAL. The documentation says to use their fog fluid for best results and I've read where particular machines are built around certain the suggested fluid.

I searched the web and can find no reference of such juice.

Where can I buy this? If it does not matter (which a lot of people say), please recommend a product and tell me why it would be best to use...

    Thanks in advance!!

The most important thing is to match the general class of juice -for example, most are "water based" so you want to be sure anything you run thru it is water based. Beyond that, I think there is a general disregard for matching the brand of the fogger to the brand of the juice.

Seasonal Visions International is an importer, the machine you have is probably a generic no-brand-name. Check your documentation. Is there a warranty? If not, what you have there is a generic machine. When it breaks, it's throw away.

I had a fog machine for the first time this year, and ran thru all my juice. I plan to order some Froggies for next year, closer to October as I think juice has a shelf life. I've never tried it, but alot of people on this forum recommend it. Check the options you want -for example, they have one that's made for low-lying fog, and they will add a sent for an extra fee.

In my experience......most "fog juice" is made from two humble ingredients.....distilled water and Glycerin. That being said...yes, there are differences in the mix! A little more glycerin and, voila! more fog (or smoke). I have made my own fog formula in the past and have had great success with it but i don't recommend trying it unless you know exactly what you are doing because you can gum the "works". Google Fog Juice and you will see no end to formula and method. Getting back to your question "which is best?" I personally think that if you can buy the brand made by your fog machine manufacturer then go right ahead but i also believe that any brand out there is similar. I usually clean my foggers with pure distilled water. I fill the tank maybe 1/3 or half way and operate the fogger making a nice even steam (BE CAREFUL>>>>HOT) This should clean any residue from the heating chamber and nozzle.

    Froggy's Swamp Juice. http://www.froggysfog.com/

    Why?

2007: Spencers' 700W fog machine using the 'suggested best results' Spencer's brand fluid resulted in a nice misty fog.

2008: Same machine, same lighting, same camera, using Froggy's resulted in a BLANKET of fog.

In a situation like yours in which you have a generic brand, I agree with RXNB90 and go with Froggy's.

If you had a fog machine from a prominent manufacturer such as Chauvet, American DJ, or Eliminator I would stay with their brand.
