So I built a mib with monsterguts parts, I assumed it would come with a controller to activate the solinoid but it did not. I ended up using my G E lights and sounds of christmas controller but i didn't get the exact effect that I had hoped for. Any one have any suggestions?

You could use a prop 1 or prop 2 controller.................i've seen them used before and the result is pretty nice.

My first choice for a MIB set up like you have would be a picoBoo controller:

My second choice would be a Monster Guts Nerve Center :
http://monsterguts.com/index.php?act...&productId=193
The reason I would pick the picaBoo over the Nerve Center is that it plays ambient sounds while in the "waiting" state so you could have your MIB maybe breathing or maybe some other scary sound playing until the prop is triggered with the sound you have associated with it. I have a nerve center and it's a very easy to use and great working controller. However, the ambient sound feature is one I really like and this is why I would rate the picaboo ahead of the nerve center as other than that they seem to be very similar.

I used a picoboo 105 on my coffin jumper and it worked awesome. I had the ambient sound playing through the garage and then when someone stepped on the mat sensor, the prop came up, a spot light turned on the prop and an evil laugh.
