Just went to $ tree to pick up pool noodles and brushes...and Guess what? They have a few small Halloween items out...small skulls and garlands..of course I had to stock up..you never know what you might need....hopefully your areas have some out as well......I'm in Greenville NC by the way..

A place I have bought tools and odd/end items over the years from
American Science & Surplus : Items Just Off the Truck American Science and Surplus catalog, I have gotten, cheap I may add...gas masks, laboratory bottles, ect.., motors, tools...

Obsessed with....that is great info but please post it in the General Halloween section, this section is for online prop building groups projects.

no way man, im totally goin to dollar tree today, i buy all my crap there. last year i bought some of their skulls then bought some of their clip in xmas house C7 bulb lights and cut a hole out of the back of the skull and walah. had 4 glowing skulls for $8 compared to 2-3 for $30 like they try to sell you at the halloween stores.

I was surprised to see some early Halloween stuff at both Dollar Trees I frequent. Skulls, garlands, and some misc tombstones.

What is best to protect you'r paper mache prop from rain? This is my first paper mache project and I would hate to go through all that work only to loose it to rain. THANKS!

no supplies at the one in greenville tn but im gonna check in asheville nc when i get home.

Several coats of any polyurathane/clear coat type sealant should work. Spray or brush on, doesn't matter.

For those interested, Scott over at Stolloween is testing the weatherproof-ness of Charlie, one of his paper mache pumpkins.

He's staying out from now until Halloween, wind, rain or shine to see how he fares.
