So is this a static prop or does it have movement?

I've been following along and this is definitely on my build list this year! I was actually thinking to use the coffin to house a shiatsu massager based animated zombie. I'd have one arm reaching out and the lid of the coffin moving up and down. Great prop with very clear directions - can't wait to get started.

Just a quick question as I'm about to go out and get the supplies. I was wondering how heavy the lid by itself was? The reason I'm asking is that I wanted to place a shiatsu massager zombie in the coffin and have one of the knobs on the massage be linked to move the coffin lid a bit. I don't want it to be so heavy it would burn out the motor. Maybe an alternate would be to build the coffin like you have but for the lid use a single piece of 1/8" luan plywood and then attach strips of 1/2" foam carved to look like boards. That would certainly cut down on the weight but maybe it's not necessary. I'll wait to see what you say. Thanks!

Urak I'm thinking the lid as built in the tutorial will be too heavy for the shiatsu.
I had a few issues with the arm of my shiatsu based zombie, where the hand was too heavy and I didnt get much movement. The weight of the lid would affect this even more.
