Keep moving the lace to sections that are dry. Reapplying the MM on the board as needed.

You kind of have to judge the amount to rub on, too much and you loose the detailing, if that happens just keep rubbing it in and when you pull it off the foam board the holes should open up.

I did two lace table clothes in less than 10 minutes.
That is brilliant! Kind of like screen printing it sounds like. Thank you for sharing that tip

Although way past Halloween, I thought I should take this time to thank you again for ideas.

Everybody loved the 'beloved' lady and the home made candles set off another project just perfect.

Had alot of people asking if they could buy it!

Seriously thinking of a new career move.

    Half way through.

I'm so glad it turned out. I was really interested in how your tablecloth version turned out. Unfortunately, your picture didn't show on your post (little red X). Here's a thread that shows how to post pictures on the forum: http://www.halloweenforum.com/genera...ures-help.html

hi terra, i am starting on beloved and have a question.. i am ready to add the plywood to the base... did you coat it with anything??? i am thinking if i put on a coat of drylock before i attach it to the base that will help protect it somewhat. i am concerned about it sitting on the ground for so long, i will have it out for the full month of october... also i am thinking about eyehooks on each side to run a cord through to help carry it. i think you put the weight at around 40 lbs. what do you think Thanks in advance.. i am really excited about this project...

The eyehooks sound like a great idea. I painted the plywood after I assembled and mm'd Beloved. I was able to lay her on her side.... so I also Dryloked (two coats) the underside.

This last Halloween was her second year out (30 days x 2) and I repainted her with two more coats of Drylok. The bugs and mold do get to her underside but after I let the underside dry in the garage, that's when I repainted it. Looks like new again.

    Ruh Roh!

I used the pre-mixed drywall compound (comes in a 5 gallon bucket). Is it too late to return the dry mix and get the pre-mixed? If not, I would suggest to add the water to the dry compound mix and then the paint. But, not sure about this, never used it.

Here's a picture of it and the most valuable tool of all, the mixer attachment:

Hold the presses!!!!!! I checked my tub of drywall compound to be sure I'm telling you the right stuff. Well, looks like I grabbed a lightweight version. Worked well for me. So, now, not sure if you used the regular version if that changes the recipe or not. Here's a picture of the lightweight version next to the regular.

So sorry everyone for any confusion.....
