Dave could you do me a favor and give me a measurement of the main board you attached everything to. Also a measurement on your PVC tube and metal slide.

Dave, your last post about explaining the mechanics behind this prop was terrific! The website you provided was exactly what I needed to gain a basic understanding of gears, pulleys, cranks etc. Thank you, thank you, thank you. That site will certainly be a well worn, dog-eared site for me.

I just ordered the motor and adapter too. So I am in. This will be my first mechanical prop so I'm wondering if I can do it and what tools I'll need. But I'm going to give it a try.

I guess that I was hosing up the instructor's thread. D'Oh. Sorry about that. Is there anything in the code on the site to limit who is allowed to post into which threads? That way, boneheads like me are unable to do what I did.

Rev. Noch its ok buddy, this is all new to us, so for sure we're gonna all learn as we go along! But for sure we welcome any questions you have!
The reason for 2 threads is so that the instructor can keep all his instructions & photos together so that they will be easy to follow instead of folks trying to follow along & students posting questions in between. So we are striving to have the student thread for all questions from students.
