So, I'm done fighting the weather and I'm moving my haunt into my garage this year. I plan to have a walkthrough with a TOT set up on the driveway. Where do I play my sound? Do I play it outside and leave the inside silent? Only on the inside, maybe? I'm afraid the areas are too close together to do two different soundtracks.

    TIA!

How about spooky music effect outside with evil gurgles & laughs inside for example That way if you hear them "mix", they go together without arguing or muddying up each other...? Best of both worlds !!

That's a great idea. Thanks so much! That's exactly what I'm going to do.

If you use props to baffle (isolate) the sounds, you should be fine having 2 or more areas that are just loud enough to hear when in that section. They had speakers for $1.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond in a bin (may still have them). Rig those to your CD, MP3 Player or your phone. Had a post on an Android sound app here (What are you using for you sounds/music?).

Just be sure that you target the sounds to the genre you are leading your 'party' through. I've done a garage before and there is PLENTY of space to do several mixed theme areas before your 'party' exits for their candy treats.

    Good Luck!
