I just learned about audacity through this wonderful site. I'm working on some mixes, but will probably end up going with already made ones.
I need for the fire department's hauntedhouse. Is there a way to have something playing, then have a sound playing over it. Like a song in the background and a wolf howling in the foreground?
I'm very new to audacity and playing with it quite a bit, so any basic tips are appreciated.

Multitrack mixing is available in the newest beta. You can see it here used for a different purpose: Driving an Audio Servo Driver with an Audio Sublayer
