Smile I'm trying figure out the right mix of songs for my haunt.

I'm trying figure out the right mix of songs for my haunt this year. The last few years I have just been playing the classic halloween songs (Thriller,Exorcist,Munsters,Dark Shadows, ect). This year I want to incorporate more of MS and Nox. I'm looking for a good balance.

Would something like this work?

3 Classic songs
then
Approx. 5min of misc. sound effects(ghosts, witches, screams, ect)
followed by
2 songs each of MS and Nox

Then repeat the cycle over again with different songs.

Thanks,
Chris

I say try that mix, and see how you like the sound of it.

I never use classic songs in my haunt. But I really like the soundtrack from Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The beginning. It does build tension. Then I also have different music/soundeffects for different areas. For instance in one area of my haunt one year I had killer clowns and I used some songs off of Nox Arcana's Carnival of lost souls. While in another area there was the sound of thunder. When you get to certain areas of the haunt you can hear layered sounds this way. Experiment. That's the fun part anyway.
