    Lightbulb imaginative ideas – 10-17-2010,10:40 AM


    I have a miniature pumpkin or some would call it an ornamental pumpkin that I have to turn into SOMETHING. I am not to carve this pumpkin. I have a 2 yr old in daycare and the daycare has sent this pumpkin home with every child to return tomorrow Monday October 18. some examples the daycare has given are ghosts, spiders, bats and elmos. I do not want to create something that all the other children will create. If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

    Mini punks are perfect spiders or bats. Spray paint black ( or purple for spider ). Then glue on gem beads or googly eyes. Use felt for wings or stove piping for legs. Can spray with light glitter for effect.

    You could also make a lil demon or devil out of it with horns, a waggly tongue, etc.

    Make it cannibalistic pumpkin. Going after other pumpkins. I made one out of a small pumpkin last year. I carved out a mouth large enough to fit over the stem of my large main display pumpkin.

    Isn't it? I got the idea from pictures and videos on the internet. I also had a small one in the mouth, one on the stem and a little one sitting next to it with a gasp/surprised look on it's face. If my desktop computer wasn't down I would dig up last year's pictures and post the one with my pumpkins. However, as I write that, I might be able to pull the picture off my mom's little camera and get it posted.

    Found a picture. Hopefully it's a little bit easier to see and you'll be able to get the idea. In the picture I don't have the little one on the stem, but everything else is there.
