These last few days I've been toying with the idea of hand painting apothecary labels using watercolour. I've been ill and last night I couldn't sleep so I decided to finally tackle this small project (at about one in the morning lol). I'm not very talented when it comes to using watercolour, I usually don't have the patience for it and prefer the use of oils or acrylics. It was a little tricky but not terribly time consuming, and overall it looks how I pictured it. I really like the poison one which I am using, the other is alright but I had messed up on it and I'm not fond of the border. I'm probably going to stick to making labels on the computer but I thought I'd share these to maybe inspire someone else to create their own.

Those turned out great! You're much better with a paintbrush than I am.

Thank you! I generally blow with paint brushes, but it helps when they're really tiny XD

They both turned out great. Also, even though I dont see it, the "mistakes" is what sometimes makes things like this spook-tacular.
“Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, because the ground gives way under him, and the dream begins.”

I love them. You can also print out on the computer and paint over, I do that sometimes. Its kinda like embellishing

Thanks guys.
lzrdsgal - I was thinking of trying that if I do another one. My mom has done it with her Christmas Cards (she's an Xmas fanatic...the complete opposite of me) and they look pretty good.
And Shadowbat I know what you mean; I had a lot of happy accidents on the poison label, my shakey hands gave a look of distressed letters lol.
