AmFatallyYours,

Love your candleabra! And that you found it at Goodwill. I took a hint from you and went to Goodwill to find some candle holders to spraypaint black. They turned out wonderfully, but I wasn't able to find a candleabra. ... Going to try to go back again this week to see if I can find some.

Also, a note to anyone who wants to do this: I found out that you have to spray paint the candleholders upright, let the first coat dry, then turn it upside-down and spray paint it that way, otherwise you'll miss the underside. Lol. But you wouldn't know it until you turned the candleholder upside-down! :P

Thanks! You'll have to post pictures of the candle holders you did. And definitely check back with goodwill. Mine is constantly getting different sizes, shapes, and designs in.

haha Great point on the way to paint them. I ran into the same problem. I did a coat or two upright. When i was bringing it inside, i noticed the bottom parts weren't painted.

I actually made it back to Goodwill today! Found THREE candleabras. Also found some nice tiny potion jars and a plastic plugin pumpkin. I'll post some pics soon, but it'll have to wait until I get home! I'm outta town for the week.

Will probably post the pics in a new thread though, since I also have some pics of my potion jars I want to post.

Thanks again for the idea, Fatally!

I had a bunch of candles laying around so I used Dark Star's idea about the bucket of water and spray paint. Took about 30 seconds, and I think it looks pretty cool. I think I may have even done it wrong

Hey Bones, they look great! I especially like the swirling mist effect it made. Awesome!

Wow these are some really great ideas on what to do with your candles. I have a different technique that I used with my white pillar candles and figured I would share if anyone was interested. Not as easy as dipping into water but fairly easy for any crafter.

I stamped tissue paper with versamark and heat enbossed with black embossing powder and then melted the tissue paper onto the candle. The tissue paper absorbs the melted wax, what you are left with is a great looking candle (in my opinion). Well hope you enjoy the pic. TFL!
