It has been years since I did an iron on transfer. Do you have to invert the picture (backwards) so it'll come out the right direction? Also, how big were the front of the koozies? so I can decide what size pictures to find.
Me again =) I decided to do them this year and went to buy iron-on transfer paper and they had different paper for light items and dark items. Which did you use deannbanana?
I use the iron-on transfer for dark items because the koozies that I am using are brighter and darker than pastels. You don't have to invert the picture, you just print it out on the transfer paper the way you would on regular paper and then you cut out the picture, peel off the backing, cover it with the wax paper provided in the iron-on transfer pack and iron it on. Make sure that the iron is not too hot because it will melt the transfer. If you notice in the pictures of my koozies, on most of the iron-on that I did, I used a publishing software, or microsoft word will work to, but I put a solid colored shape behind the picture that I was going to use so I could just cut out the shape and not have to cut around the whole picture. It saves time and is alot easier to cut out.
Deannbanana - Thanks so much for you help! I thought the dark made more sense but I bought the light. I purposfuly hadn't opened it yet in case I decided to return it. I ordered koozies in bright colors, hot pink, hot blue, hot green, fuschia, etc. I used the copmany you recommended. (It was the cheapest I could find).
We actually order koozies. Have done it every year for 10 years. Use either Koozies or Koozies because we get 60 every year. They are screenprinted and people have the whole set. Kind of like collector items.
