OK, Clearly I have has a bout of creative block. I just couldn't get inspired to start anything here but I think I got it now. I'll try to have something to post progress wise soon. Anyone else working on a new craft?!

    Craft of the month anyone??
I worked with the same craft foam to make Faun's head, and breast plate. They turned out pretty well. My next project is this insanity mask, it's for a new haunt character we are adding this year....I will use craft foam and thin card board as base, and Hearty clay to build up the face.

As soon as we get done with our March Madness Birthday party(s) month, I'm in!

I kind of set this one off to the side for a bit. I'm still playing with shapes and getting my idea firmed up.

I went back to another item I wanted to do for Saki's haunted toy craft. I have a haunted jack-in-the-box on my bench I started working on over the weekend. I will get some pictures up soon. It's going to be very detailed and elaborately gilded like a 1700 or 1800's toy that has been lost and started to decay but wit a slight Tim Burton vibe to is. The jack will be a ghost instead of a jack as well. Can't wait to get this one finished!

Trex-- that insanity mask is extremely creepy! I bet that will be a successful character!
I'd still love to do armor, but it's a huge project, and I'm dipping my toe in the pool slowwly. In a similar vein, I made a Schandmaske, a Medieval shame mask. This one is for a gossip, with big ears and wagging tongue.

Edit in-- I forgot to mention, the lock is just temporary for the photo. I have some that look quite similar, but are about 1/4 the size. They just aren't where I thought I left them. They should show up long before Halloween.

armour is so fun to make!
i've made a couple viking hats from craft foam from joanns.

if you want to find out about working with worbla, look up "cosplay armour" on youtube.
there's TONS! and worbla's a bit expensive, but it's fun.

    Craft of the month anyone??
Not really a group build, but I made this eyeball plant last year as a table centerpiece for our Halloween party. Quick and simple to make, just paint some eyeballs on white plastic ball ornaments, mounted them with thick wire, foam and hot glue into the terra cotta pot, used Great Stuff to hide the wire and add definition, and then painted the foam with several different colors of green. One of my favorite DIY projects so far.Craft of the month anyone??-img_2425.jpg
